The Barnsdale

Isle of Anglesey

View on Google Maps

The Barnsdale is a converted cottage on the Isle of Anglesey with character enough for four guests—two bedrooms upstairs, one containing a double bed and the other bunk beds for children, plus a shower room between them. Downstairs, an open-plan ground floor combines living, dining and kitchen spaces around an electric woodburner, with a sofa bed doubling the sleeping options if needed. The essentials—heating, electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels—are included. One well-behaved dog stays free.

The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking: electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washing machine. Out back, an enclosed garden with seating and a barbecue makes a private retreat. The cottage sits within walking distance of local amenities and lies near Amlwch Port, known for its industrial heritage and views across to Parys Mountain. Bull Bay, less than two miles away, offers clear water for paddling, kayaking and paddleboarding, plus seal-spotting and sea fishing. Coastal paths stretch in several directions, including one to Point Lynas Lighthouse. Cemaes village, a short drive further, has two beaches and a working harbour. Smoking is not permitted.
