Roseland Holiday Park

Argyll and Bute

Touring, camping and glamping above Rothesay with views over the bay

About Roseland Holiday Park

Roseland Holiday Park sits on Canada Hill, high above Rothesay, and makes the most of its position with sweeping views across the bay to the hills of Cowal and the sea lochs beyond. It's the main touring and camping base on Bute itself, taking tents, caravans, motorhomes and campervans on a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches, alongside static holiday caravans and a small collection of glamping pods for anyone without their own gear.

On-site facilities cover the essentials well: unisex toilet and shower blocks, chemical and grey waste disposal points, a freshwater fill-up station, and dishwashing and laundry facilities. The Jam Jar café on site is a handy spot for breakfast or a coffee without heading down into town, and the short walk or drive into Rothesay puts the ferry terminal, shops and restaurants within easy reach for anyone not wanting to rely on a car for everything.

The park is a good base for exploring the rest of the island, with Ettrick Bay beach, Mount Stuart House, Loch Fad's fishing and Rothesay's own golf course all a short drive away. Its elevated position means some exposure to wind, so a sturdy tent and good pegs are worth bringing even in summer, but the payoff is one of the best campsite views on the Clyde coast.
