About Glasnakille Wigwams

Tucked away on the Isle of Skye itself, Glasnakille Wigwams offers cosy pod-style accommodation for those who want a roof overhead without the fuss of a full cottage. The setting is peaceful and rural, making it a handy base for tackling the island's dramatic landscapes and coastal walks.

It's worth noting that dogs aren't permitted, so this one's strictly for two-legged adventurers. The wigwams themselves provide simple shelter after a day on the trails – nothing fancy, but perfectly adequate for a no-frills Skye escape where the scenery does the talking.

What a fabulous location, I think the sunrise view is the best I’ve ever seen. Cannot tell everyone what a spectacular view this is, we stayed in The Longhouse, which is a converted shipping container, it contains everything you need, great kitchen facilities, bed, huge shower and parking etc. Sally & Adam at the best hosts full of advice and guidance to where to eat and visit depending on your requirements. We’ve stayed at the Croft before but in the cabins ( pods) but the Longhouse is fantastic. As always we will be back ( 5th or 6th time at Shulista 🙌🏻)

The location is idyllic, and the hosts of the cabins are very gracious and helpful. The cabin was comfortable and cosy, with a dreamy view of sheep and bunnies. Lots of great walks and sea views around. A little patch of heaven.

Absolutely one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland! The location is remote but waking up with this view was absolutely magical. During our three weeks here we stayed at five different places. This was far and away our favorite. We stayed in #4, the only one with a hot tub and it was worth every penny. Looking at pasture land and the ocean in the distance while soaking in the hot tub was unbelievably relaxing. Adam was a wonderful host and very responsive to messages. On our first night he had the hot tub ready for us with a bottle of champagne. Can’t recommend this place enough!!

It was an absolute joy to stay at Sally and Adam's wonderful little spot on Skye! We booked this one very late in the day so did not have much idea of what to expect, but were absolutely thrilled when we arrived. Sally and Adam were very amenable and did us a great favour by letting us check in around midnight due to a late ferry. Both the friendliest people you will ever meet! The Wigwam exceeded our expectations - roomy, comfy, clean and warm! Lovely to have a little picnic bench next to the Wigwam, as well as a fire pit. We bought a fire pit kit (kindling, firewood, etc) for £5 which kept us warm on a particularly windy evening. The communal kitchen and bathroom facilities were by far and away the nicest of any campsite we've stayed in before - super clean and more modern than most family kitchens! A splendid little spot - a great place for us to escape the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh. Ordinarily, we would prefer to stay in a site with a little more going on, but if you're looking for total tranquillity this definitely fits the bill. Some very nice walks from the campsite; absolutely perfect for a few days exploring a beautiful part of the island. We had an absolutely delightful time here - would visit Shulista Croft again in a heartbeat!
