Marsh Road

Isle of Wight

View on Google Maps

Gurnard sits on the northwest coast of the Isle of Wight, a working village with a proper beach and immediate access to the island's coastal footpaths. The village itself has a small supermarket, café, restaurant and pub, and the seafront promenade connects to Cowes in under an hour's walk. From here you can reach cliff walks heading west into Thorness Bay, or explore rock pools and shingle beaches at low tide.

Marsh Road is a detached house arranged on a single floor, sleeping six across three bedrooms: two doubles and a bunk room. There's a family bathroom and separate shower room. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, and an open-plan living and dining space has doors opening onto a decked garden with outdoor seating. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. One car can be parked on site. The house does not permit smoking.

Gurnard's sailing club anchors the community; Cowes, famous for its yachting heritage and August racing week, is a short walk along the waterfront. The area suits families, walkers and anyone wanting beach access without the intensity of a larger resort.
