Killinghall has no hotels within the village itself, which is largely residential, so most visitors staying in the area base themselves a few minutes away in Harrogate. There you will find everything from grand Victorian spa hotels built for the town's heyday as a genteel resort, through to reliable budget and mid-range chains close to the station and conference centre — useful if you are combining a stay with the Great Yorkshire Showground or Harrogate Convention Centre.
For something with a bit more character, the nearby villages of Ripley and Hampsthwaite have traditional coaching inns and pubs offering rooms, set among stone cottages and closer to the River Nidd and the Nidderdale countryside than anywhere in central Harrogate. These make a good compromise for visitors who want quiet, rural surroundings but still want to be within easy striking distance of the town's shops, museums and restaurants.
Wherever you choose to stay, Killinghall's position on the A61 means it is never more than a short drive from your accommodation, whether you are here to explore Nidderdale's dales and villages, visit Ripley Castle, or simply use the area as a peaceful, well-connected base for a Yorkshire break.
