Trentham Cottage
King's Lynn and West Norfolk
View on Google MapsThis Grade II listed cottage dates back centuries and retains the character you'd expect from a period property. It's one of a pair in Snettisham, a quiet village where the shoreline and salt marshes are within easy reach. Three steps lead to the entrance; inside, the ground floor opens with a living and dining room that looks onto a courtyard, and a kitchen equipped for self-catering. Upstairs are three bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed, two with twin singles—and a bathroom with both bath and shower.
The cottage sleeps six and comes as a whole property to yourself. One car can park on site, with additional street parking nearby. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included; a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available if needed. An enclosed courtyard with seating and garden furniture provides an outdoor space. Smoking is not permitted.
Snettisham itself offers a deer safari experience and an open, unspoilt beach. Hunstanton is a short drive along the coast, home to traditional seaside attractions, while Wells-next-the-Sea, with its quay and narrow gauge railway, makes a good day trip. The area is excellent for birdwatchers—Titchwell and Holkham are nearby, with Blakeney, Cley and other reserves further along. Walking routes trace the coastline and wind through villages with independent shops and places to eat.
