Small farm campsite with bell tents and shepherd's huts near Lower Peover

About Greenfields Campsite

Greenfields Campsite sits on a working sheep farm just outside Lower Peover, ten minutes from Knutsford and within easy reach of Tatton Park and Jodrell Bank. This small, family-run site has evolved from basic grass pitches into a more varied offer—standard camping with fire pits and generous spacing, plus ready-furnished bell tents and shepherd's huts for those who prefer a bed made up and a kitchen ready to go. Dogs are welcome across all pitch types, and the covered communal kitchen and modern shower block serve the whole site well.

The relaxed, low-key farm atmosphere is what many visitors remember, though some note that facilities can feel a little tired in places. Two village pubs and a shop lie within a mile, handy for evenings when you'd rather not cook. With Knutsford, Tatton Park and Jodrell Bank all close by—and Chester around forty minutes away—it's a comfortable, well-placed base for exploring Cheshire without the crowds.

Was unreal, perfect location, next to a motorway so you don’t have to sleep in silence. Some pubs near it and staff are really nice. Showers are good, same with toilets. I do recommend it.

We really loved this little campsite, it's on the field of the owners, and they are so friendly. The field is lovely and not too overcrowded. Pitches are well spaced, and each has a fire pit. There are 3 individual toilet blocks, and 3 individual shower blocks, an outdoor washing up station. A shop and pub are within walking distance. You can buy fire logs for the fire at £7 cash, which is really nice in the evening. Really quiet at night.

Basically just a field, but unlike any other field the electric and water was next all very reachable, the converted trailers made great toilets and showers real thought had been put into it, the camp fires next to each plot was a nice touch, animals surrounded you in each field which kids loved and the girl who come to say hi and brought us our wood for the fire even though we missed the original 6 o'clock time was polite and had very good mannerisms! Great for a stop gap to our next site but do wish we spent at least one more night there! Highly recommended!
