Bess's Cottage suits couples after a quiet countryside base within reach of towns and attractions. The whole property is yours alone: a single bedroom upstairs with an ensuite shower, and downstairs an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The bed can be configured as a zip-and-link super king or split into two singles. Essentials like electricity, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included, and there is parking for one car on site plus a sheltered garden with patio furniture.
On the owners' working dairy farm in Byley village, the cottage was converted from stables in 2018. Middlewich, a market town with listed buildings and modern shops, lies 2 miles away and connects to a canal system ideal for cycling or walking the towpaths. Delamere Forest and Tatton Park are within 20 to 30 minutes' drive, as are Beeston Castle and Blue Planet Aquarium. Chester, Manchester and Liverpool are all within reach for a day out, with the Peak District National Park around 45 minutes away. The nearest pub and restaurant is 2½ miles off. No smoking is permitted in the cottage.
