About Wild Welsh Camping
Tucked into rolling Ceredigion countryside near Lampeter, Wild Welsh Camping occupies a genuinely peaceful spot with lake and mountain views that live up to the "spectacular scenery" billing. The site runs on renewable energy and keeps things simple – composting toilets, a large spacious shower block, washing-up area and picnic tables scattered about – while the surrounding landscape delivers plenty for cyclists, mountain bikers and anglers. It's a proper wildlife haven, and the lack of dogs helps keep it that way.
With only 11–25 pitches, the atmosphere stays relaxed, though some visitors note the facilities can feel a touch basic if you're used to more polished sites. Barbecues are welcome, a shop and restaurant sit nearby, and public transport links make car-free arrival feasible. If you want somewhere genuinely off-grid in spirit but within easy reach of mid-Wales exploration, this ticks the box.
