Fantastic place to relax, this site has lovely green surroundings in the highest maintained level, not far from the beach and morecambe front, lovely nature reserve just a short walk away. As well as a nice walk to the nearby heysham port, Lovely warm freindly staff very helpful. Although this is not a holiday renting site, it's a great place to own a holiday home with 12 months of site fees. This site also presents a 5 hole putting golf green, children's park, and a recreation area for football, picnic, and playing field as well as a walking area for dogs. I've been on this site now for over 5 years, and it's always nice to turn up to relax and enjoy the surroundings. It's that nice it is always full with over 100 static caravans on site. This site has a waiting list as when one van comes available, it is not long before it's been reowened by another happy owner to enjoy.

Lovely, clean but basic campsite. People very friendly and helpful. Good value for money, remember your 20p pieces for the showers. Small shop on site selling essentials. We’ll be back.

Very friendly welcome to start things off. The site manager apologised saying that because of prolonged periods of rain the pitches were very soft and water logged in places. (TIP: Take Wellington boots) We called up prior to camping to advise that we were bringing an additional awning and were told this would be at no extra charge which was excellent. The site is pretty basic and had we not been slushing around in the mud for the first couple of days we would have enjoyed a fairly relaxing chilled out break. The kids made friends with a couple of families and played away great. There is a sizable patch of long grass they played in, however, the tents pitch area is tight with little room to run around. Disliked: I did struggle with a few things on-site: - 1. Toilet block has 1 male and 1 female shower area and badly needs to be renovated. (I understand this is due to be started) 2. Any amount of rain turns the grass into a quagmire. Cars being towed off the grass and large pools of water forming. I appreciate you can't control the weather and the site manager was very apologetic. 3. Probably just timing but it was like camping at Crufts. Several dogs running everywhere and quite excitable, even at 2 am, 4. Improvements are being made to the site however it would have been nice to have been informed prior to booking. Small excavators and mini diggers just 200yrds away from tent pitches disrupted the tranquillity and made me paranoid about the kids coming and going to the toilet block. 5. The caravan site is immaculate and obviously very well maintained but the tent pitch experience left me disappointed
