Me and hubby have just stayed here for a couple of nights. Welcomed by the owner, he was lovely and informative about what's happening in the area this weekend. Excellent location, I was panicking after reading reviews about the dogs running wild, music playing all hours of the night, I needed of bothered, yes a couple of dogs running around without leads but kept in the area the owners was staying. And loud music for about 10 mins after another camper asked them to turn it down, he did reluctantly. The only downside ands it's a major one, the toilets need knocking down and rebuilding again, my knees was touching the door and my hubby had to leave his door open as it was to small, no hot water, no toilet paper and it was dirty. Went down to wash our plates and no where to wash them, no sink or nothing. That's the let down at this campsite. We paid 2.00 more last weekend and it was excellent and clean. It's a shame really. We'd come again now we know what to expect, we'd bring disposable plates and cutlery next time, and our own portable toilet.

Stayed here several times now, toilets have been added which is better they are small but its camping not a luxury lodge. Each stay has been a pleasant experience This is a family camping site children play, families have a laugh and play music around the site, fires are allowed. There are things to do close by like crabbing and using the canal for kayaks (access from field) couple of nice local pubs. Ian the owner is very approachable and is there to help all he can.

More like a music festival, brilliant! Went a few weekends ago as part of a large group. Not the biggest amount of space, but the owner seemed happy to pack everyone in. Brilliant if you want to party into the early hrs. Toilets and facilities in an old caravan but ok. Best part is we were able to play music on our stereo until the early hours. We thought owner might ask us to turn it off as there were family's with kids etc, but he wasn't bothered, which was great! Those of us with kids let them all play out until after midnight running around everyone else's tents which was better for us as we didn't have to supervise them. Will defo come back. Probably bring a bigger sound system next time 🎶 🎵
