What visitors say
What a gem of a place. Beautiful building and wonderful facilities. I especially loved the upstairs performance/rehearsal space. I was there to take part in a radio programme about poetry which was a wonderful experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely fantastic place. Young folk of all ages learning, expressing and engaging in the art of community. Totally inspiring and magnificent!

Chapel FM is a much-valued gift to the people of East Leeds, particularly in the deprived area of Seacroft. Although the community radio station is still a major part of its activity, it's also very much a thriving community hub and arts centre. It's known for helping to train and build the confidence of young people, but also has a wide range of events for the whole community. Converted from a derelict former Methodist chapel, it retains original features and various cool contemporary additions. My favourite feature is the voice prints etched into the stained glass. Mine is amongst them - I remember being approached at a fete at the Seacroft Village Hall many years ago, when the building conversion was still under way, and asked to record my name. That's just one example of the kind of cool things here. Another is the fully restored church organ on the upper floor, which amongst other things has been used to accompany screenings of old silent films.
