My Mum’s Henry VIII teapot had a serious accident (long story but we thought we’d lost the lid, - his head, ironically - threw the teapot out, then found his head less than an hour later!). I contacted a few ceramic repair people, all of whom were kind enough to respond to my emails but also added the work would cost at least £100. Bearing in mind the teapot is worth about a tenner, I contacted Create98 on the off-chance. I received a lovely reply from Alison and her team, saying they would be happy to take a look. The charge?: A donation ☺️ As per my photos, this was the fantastic result. We could have Southend’s answer to The Repair Shop here - and easily accessible as they are located in the Victoria Shopping Centre, Southend-on-Sea. Also in Leigh-on-Sea. They explained they’re not “experts” but we were thrilled with their work! How many ornaments with only sentimental value get accidentally broken every day in homes by the following: ⭐️ Getting knocked over or dropped? (Guilty 😱) ⭐️ Children playing? (Guilty 🫣) ⭐️ The dog’s tail? ⭐️ Knocked over by the cat? We chose create98 for our daughters 8th birthday party as she wanted to do something a bit different with her friends and chose the tie dye party. Simon hosted us and was brilliant-patient, encouraging and a brilliant teacher. The girls all had a fantastic afternoon and my daughter was thrilled having such a fun party.
