About Phoenix Hotel Liverpool
Liverpool's mix of football heritage and city-centre attractions makes a base near Anfield useful, and the Phoenix Hotel Liverpool sits on Foley Street with exactly that in mind. It's a small hotel with 19 rooms, offering en-suite bathrooms that have been recently refitted, along with family rooms for those travelling with children.
Facilities are straightforward but cover the essentials: breakfast, a bar that stays open late, room service, drinks available in-room, free WiFi and 24-hour reception. Free on-site parking is a genuine plus in this part of the city, and there's also the option of airport transfers or parking. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures.
Staff are professional and the rooms are kept clean and comfortable, with the hotel generally regarded as good value for the price. It's worth noting that a few guests have found the deposit refund process slow. Beyond the football ground, there's a golf course and fishing nearby, plus pubs, restaurants and other entertainment within easy reach, making it a practical choice for a straightforward stay in Liverpool.

What guests say
Fantastic stay. Father and daughter team Louise and Vinnie were great. Polite, courteous and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Only 10 mins from town centre. Louise advised us to go to Hope Street and eat at the Italian called The Quarter, really recommend this place. Finished off with last drinks at The Phoenix. Thanks, will stay again in the future.

We had a fantastic stay! The staff were absolutely amazing and incredibly professional—they went above and beyond to help us with everything, far more than we could have expected. The location is perfect, with easy access to the town and Anfield Stadium. The hotel itself is very cosy and beautifully decorated, creating a really welcoming atmosphere. Everything was spotless and maintained to a very high standard. The only small downside was that there isn’t a restaurant on site, but it really wasn’t an issue—we ordered takeaway and were kindly allowed to eat in both the bar and our room, which many hotels don’t allow. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

This was a gift so more annoyed for them paying over inflated price!!!! £215 for 1nt + £50 for half dead bunch of M&S roses & bottle of wine. Very overpriced for what it is. It's a pub with rooms. It's way too far out if you're wanting to visit Liverpool. No reception staff if any problems. Had to ask bar staff when tv wasn't working. Rooms ok, decor nice, clean enough. Bed small! The rest is poor, don't be fooled by the image of the outside of the building. It's in a cobbled back street & that's where you park.

Just checked out of this place, over all the stay was good i found the bed comfortable and the staff so friendly and helpful. the hotel is close to the city and anfield which was the reason for visiting. there was a few bits that made me question the price such as the heater wasn’t working. the carpet wasn’t hoovered and didn’t smell pleasant. the tap you had to hold in place to twist, toilet seat had no lid or toilet brush, the walls were damp and you could hear everything at night. however overall i would probably stay again just a case of a few repairs and a freshen up!
