We booked a pre Christmas get away following a busy period at work for us both and it was just what we needed! It was lovely to have the lodge tastefully decorated for Christmas and we enjoyed the lovely treats left for us. The lodge is well equipped and has great views over the surrounding fields. Watching the changing weather in the day and then the glorious stars at night was a highlight. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck and found the lodge to be very private. We would highly recommend.

Stayed here once before, However planned to stay again so booked a date and paid the deposit, Unfortunetely my partner has fallen pregnant and therefore cannot be around sheep, we asked if we could change it to another date but unfortunetly we will not be able to make it back within the year, we explained this and all they said was the deposit will have to be used in this year otherwise deposit is lost! No offer to refund the deposit even though as we have stayed before and left the place in immaculate condition and showed nothing but respect for the property, animals and owners! Even leaving a £20 tip for them. Prices of all accomodation have changed to an extortionate price so now we have no choice to loose our deposit, Very Greedy in my opinion as they could refund the deposit as we gave plenty of time and explained our situation and they did not care! Wont be re visiting again.

My partner and I really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Shepherd's Hill Lodge! The location is stunning, with only the sound of the sheep and birds. The hot tub and bath were greatly enjoyed whilst looking out at the gorgeous views. The welcome hamper provided was really appreciated and added that special touch. The lodge itself is decorated beautifully with many little finishing touches. The kitchen is also fully supplied with everything you may need which was really good! We had the pleasure of meeting Molly the dog who spent the whole evening with us and really enjoyed the fuss and attention! Whilst here we visited Elan Valley, Gigrin Kite Feeding Farm, Gilfach nature reserve and Hay-on-Wye. All of which I recommend. Only thing to note is because of the remote location there are very very few shops and pubs around so we found it easiest to do a food shop at Llandrindod Wells' Tesco before arriving at the lodge and cooking each night. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend to others who want to escape the busyness of normal life.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay in Ewe View Lodge. It was a perfect much needed break away. The views were amazing and it was quiet and peaceful. The rooms are modern and spacious yet also cozy. The lodge was well equipped with everything we needed. I even got to feed a lamb! Highly recommend!
