About Tan Y Bryn Touring

Perched near Llandudno with stunning views across the bay and surrounding countryside, Tan Y Bryn Touring is an adults-only site that wins praise for its immaculate upkeep and peaceful atmosphere. The handful of spacious pitches—split between fully serviced hardstanding and non-electric grass—are meticulously maintained, while shower and toilet facilities are routinely described as spotless and well laid out. Friendly, helpful staff add to the welcoming feel.

Open year-round and dog-friendly, it's a solid base for exploring Conwy's coast and castles. WiFi and electric hook-up are available, though with only ten pitches in total, booking ahead is wise if you want to secure one of North Wales's quieter, more polished stopovers.

There was no meet and greet. The pitch we had had no view when you were sat outside, as it was blocked by a Shepherd hut. In fact, I don’t think any of the Touring pictures had a panoramic view, as advertised, unless you stood up and went between the huts. It would seem the photos used in advertising this site are old. None of the five touring pictures had Panoramic, Unbroken views, As either shown in the photographs or stated in the advert. The only member of staff we saw was a lady who was dealing with the changeover of The Shepherd huts. She said hello on one occasion. We also heard her ask, rather gruffly, one of the people in the Shepherd hut, were they done. This seemed rather rude. There were several food deliveries to the huts . They simply drove in at speed down the gravel drive, With no thought or respect to people sat outside their vans. We would also like to suggest that this is a security hazard, As these people could just come and go and they pleased. Several of the people staying in the Shepherd huts also drove a speed up and down the drive, Sending stones and dust everywhere. Music was played relatively loudly most evenings, And on our last evening, two of the Shepherd huts held barbecues, and the smoke was horrendous. We do not have a problem with people having barbecues, But they had obviously used a lot of lighter fluid to get it going. It was very hot and we had to sit inside our van with the windows closed as the smoke and smell were atrocious. When we booked the site, we were told that it was quite easy to walk to Llandudno. we are relatively fit, but that would’ve been a way too far for us. As this site is sold as a five star luxury site, The facilities were poor, Although relatively new, There was no dedicated men’s washroom and shower, And Not even a plug in the sink of the dual purpose Area, So that a man could have a shave. The shower cubicle in the ladies was very small, And the housing around the pipes was loose. Thre tray was lethal; I had to stand on my towel! Although there were washing machines there, they were not for the guests. A five star site would provide a laundry facility. All in all we feel we were completely miss sold The site. It is geared up predominantly for those renting the shepherds huts. The touring pitches feel secondary. They were cramped, and poorly designed, with the waste water drain being up hill! Those we saw using the shepherds huts were A lot younger, And obviously there to have a good time and party. We too like have a good time, Obviously, we didn’t, we would recommend to other tourers and would not come back. Totally overpriced and sadly disappointing

We brought our Motorhome on to the fully serviced pitch. We absolutley loved our 3 night stay. So relaxing and peacefull with excellent views across the country side. High end spotless facilities available for use. Loads to do in the area , we visited Langollen , Betswy Coyd, Bala and Conwyn. ( not sure if ive spelt any of those correctly) We has a sneaky look at the glamping pods which were also very high end. Owners and staff very friendly and informative. The only issue we had over the whole weekend was that it rained for 5mins on Saturday night 😊 We couldnt recommend this place highly enough

Remote check in so didn’t have any communication with owners. Didn’t have WiFi code communicated to us. Only 1 x shower which was fine because we was only camper van there. Could imagine it would be an issue if all 5 pitches were used. Very clean and tidy, but too remote from nearest village and amenities. The glamping pods looked very good. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re pulling a caravan though, because access and lanes into the site is tight.

We had a fantastic stay Tan Y Bryn glamping and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-maintained place to relax. The site was spotless, with clean toilets and hot showers that were always well stocked and regularly cleaned. The pitches were spacious and well laid out, giving you plenty of space and a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. Would definitely recommend it anyone.
