About Ffynnonwen
Ffynnonwen is a gem of a find on the Ceredigion coast – a tiny, eco-minded site tucked near Llangrannog where just a handful of non-electric grass pitches guarantee peace and privacy. Campers rave about the spotless facilities (hot showers, composting loos, communal fridge and freezer) and the genuinely welcoming hosts who keep everything running smoothly. Campfires are encouraged, dogs are welcome year-round, and the setting feels properly wild, with birdsong and starry skies to match.
The location puts you within easy reach of excellent beaches, coastal paths, and a clutch of outdoor pursuits – kayaking, climbing, surfing – while nearby Llangrannog supplies a shop and pub for essentials. It's the kind of place where you can unplug completely yet still grab fresh produce or cycle into the village if you need to. Pitches start from around £22 a night, and with a five-star Google rating, it's clear Ffynnonwen has struck the right balance between simplicity and thoughtful detail.

What visitors say
We had a great time staying in the wonderfully peaceful yurt at Ffynnonwen. The whole set up has been excellently thought out and the comfortable and nicely decorated accommodation has so many well considered additions such as a power bank for charging extra lights to very soft bedding and plenty of kitchen items and utensils. The stove keeps things very toasty, even on chilly nights and the compost toilets are very good with little to no odour compared to some you come across. There was a welcome pack of eggs, milk and wine and our hosts were available and helpful whenever we needed. A great place to stay within reach of some stunning areas of the Welsh coast.

Stayed just one night, shame, as it wasnt long enough. This has to be one of the most prettiest campsite I've stayed at. Lindsey the owner is a beautiful soul and has lots of hidden gems. We felt very comfortable and welcomed. Very clean, fantastic hot shower and really peaceful surroundings. I even sat with Lindsey at my tent and we made a rosemary balm from her wild herbal garden, so much fun. We really enjoyed our stay, and the free cucumber. Would highly recommend a visit. Thanks guys for a fantastic stay.

Beautiful, wild camp site with your own private plot and fire ring. Quiet and peaceful. The owners Lindsey and Lloyd were friendly and . helpful we put our ice blocks in the freezer and used the fridge for our food and drinks. The facilities were very efficient and clean, ( great shower) and plenty of hot water for washing up. Loved the sound of the flocks of gold Finch's in the morning and the wind in the trees. 🙂

Really lovely place to stay, with very helpful and attentive hosts. We stayed for 3 nights in the bell tent in the orchard with our two young children both of whom had not been camping before. This was a brilliant way for them to get used to some of the basics of camping in a gentle way. The tent and outdoor kitchen had everything we needed even including details like a hiking map of the area and clothes pegs for drying swimsuits. The surrounding area is very nice with lots of lovely beaches, pubs and castles. Lindsey and Lloyd were very helpful and even gave us some veg from their garden. We highly recommend this place for first time campers and families and anyone looking for some time out. We'll be back in the future hopefully!
