Matlock Bath Treasure Trail

This is a brilliant campsite. Good hot water both for the sinks and the shower. Great value and a good pub just around the corner in walking distance. We stayed a few days and went on the trails. It can be difficult to find level ground for a camper, no issue with tents, recommend bringing wheel ramps if you have them.

Just got home from 3 fantastic night at Middleton Top campsite. A small site, immaculately kept by the very friendly owner Richard. The location is ideal. You feel like you're really out of the way, but nothing is too far. (especially the pub 2 mins down the road :) ) The facilities are simple, but have everything you need and are always spotless. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, but don't want to be too far from anything, I would highly recommend this site.

The owner is extremely nice. We went to this campsite as a DofE group of 7(Silver Expedition). The facilities were very new and tidy. There were sinks for washing your dishes with clean soap. The toilets were also very neat and clean, and the shower is also nice and warm. The atmosphere was great, and there were no noise during the night.

We had the most gorgeous stay here, just found it quite by accident and ended up spending two nights. It's a small, cosy, friendly site, amazing views and a warm welcome by the owner Richard who will give you the low down on local interest sites/ walks etc. we will be back! The showers and facilities are fab and there's a pub two mins walk down the hill and more pubs and food places about a 20 min walk away. You're not very far from anything yet feel like you are!
