Chapel Cottage

Pontsticill sits deep in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, surrounded by reservoir walks, forest trails and open moorland. Chapel Cottage occupies a converted 1867 stone building at a village junction, turned into holiday accommodation that retains genuine character—including a jukebox and pinball machine for rainy afternoons. The Red Cow Inn is within walking distance, and on-site parking takes two cars.

Downstairs, a living room with woodburner and TV opens to a kitchen/dining space with electric cooking and a microwave. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with a double and two singles, plus a bathroom with bath and shower. The cottage sleeps six and is yours alone. Essentials like linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating costs are included; a cot and highchair are available if needed. A barbecue, front garden with furniture and bike storage complete the setup. Note that the stairs are steep and narrow.

The location suits walkers and those wanting quiet countryside, with Pontsticill and Pentwyn reservoirs close by for fishing, and the Brecon Beacons steam railway within a few miles. Pets are welcome. Smoking is not permitted in the property.
