Lanes Cottage is a three-bedroom stone cottage in a quiet village within the Blackdown Hills. Built in the 17th century, it has kept original details including oak beams and an inglenook fireplace with a working woodburner. The ground floor holds a living room, dining room and kitchen, with a separate toilet. Upstairs are three bedrooms (one double, two singles) and a bathroom with shower over the bath. One dog stays free.

The kitchen has what you need to cook properly – electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. Bed linen and wi-fi are included; logs for the woodburner come as standard. There is private parking on site and a garden with furniture. The village pub is a short walk away. Cullompton and the M5 motorway are about 4 miles off, making this a logical base for exploring Exmoor and Dartmoor, or reaching the Devon coast at Beer, Sidmouth or Exmouth within 30 minutes.
