The Old Workshop

The Old Workshop is a converted barn on a working farm in Stowupland, Mid Suffolk. Everything happens on the ground floor: a generous open-plan kitchen and living space with a range cooker, dishwasher and patio doors opening onto a private courtyard; a bedroom with a super king bed; and an ensuite with walk-in shower. One dog is welcome. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are provided, along with logs for the wood burner.

What sets this place apart is the wood-fired hot tub in the back garden, ready for you to light. The living room has a panoramic window looking out across the farm's grounds—fitted with adjustable blinds for privacy. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking, and there's a patio area and BBQ in the courtyard for eating outside. Stowmarket, with its railway link to London, is nearby; Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Aldeburgh and Southwold are all within reach for a day out. No smoking inside, please.
