About Travelodge Barton Mills
The A11 at Fiveways Roundabout, on the edge of Mildenhall, is a practical spot for travellers passing through Suffolk or heading to RAF Mildenhall, and Travelodge Barton Mills sits right at this junction with easy road access and free on-site parking on a first-come, first-served basis.
The hotel has 62 rooms across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, and accessible rooms are available. Facilities include a restaurant serving breakfast, drinks available in room, an electric vehicle charge point, and 24 hour reception, while pets are welcome for those travelling with animals. A Burger King is nearby for a quick meal option beyond the hotel's own restaurant.
Rooms here are generally quiet, and the staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, with the price seen as good value for the location. That said, some rooms have been noted as poorly maintained, and air conditioning is not provided, so this suits those after a straightforward, budget-friendly stopover near the A11 rather than a polished, full-amenity stay.

What guests say
If you're going to Lakenheath, it's fine for a couple days. There are no mini fridges so don't count on buying food to save money. There is no microwave either. In the summer it's hot in the rooms. There is no air conditioner. The water pressure is very weak for someone with long or thick hair. Rooms are clean and pretty, but many of my basic comforts aren't being met. Staff is friendly.

This was our second stay at this hotel, and unfortunately, what a disappointment it was. During our first visit, we had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, and while the hotel could have benefited from some updating, it was comfortable and enjoyable overall and good for the price. This time, however, we were shocked by the difference. After a long journey, this hotel was our overnight stop. On a positive note, the gentleman working at reception was absolutely lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. The rooms were very warm, but we had been provided with a fan, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, once we entered the room, it became clear that cleanliness was a major issue. There were hairs all over the bed, although the bedding itself appeared clean. The bed base was covered in numerous unpleasant stains and marks of unknown origin. The walls had various spills and marks on them, and the bath had clearly not been cleaned properly, with what appeared to be remnants of someone’s shaved beard still left behind. The towels provided were dirty, with stains and orange marks that looked like food residue. The toilet did not appear clean, and the shower was not functioning properly and had dirt built up around it. The carpet was also dirty, and the rubbish bin outside was overflowing. Overall, the hotel was in a very poor state of cleanliness, which made for a highly unpleasant stay. It is a real shame given the positive experience we had during our first visit.

A great place to stay, clean and comfortable. Plenty of fast food and restaurants near by. Most of the staff was excellent but.. Disappointed by one of the night staff. He confronted us for parking in a disabled bay before seeing the blue badge. He asked us to move for an ambulance (which wasn't a problem at all) but when we asked who's van was parked in a disabled bay without a blue badge we was told "it's the plumbers" Surely he could have moved for the ambulance, not the registered disabled customer?! Not cool dude!

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms. Budget but clean and comfortable stocked with all i need. This traveling is just off the main road with plenty of fast food choices and petrol on site. Perfect crash pad.
