About Wenlock Edge Caravan and Camping
Tucked into six acres of grassy meadow on Wenlock Edge, this family-run site strikes a lovely balance between peaceful countryside and easy access to Shropshire's best bits. Owners Claire and Carol have cultivated a genuinely friendly atmosphere – they're often around keeping things tidy and sorting logs for evening campfires – and the modern facilities include underfloor-heated shower blocks with hairdryers, plus a laundry room. Kids get a big natural play area safely away from pitches, perfect for burning off energy.
The historic market town of Much Wenlock is a 10-minute walk, offering traditional shops, pubs and restaurants, while the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty sprawls all around. It's an ideal base for walking, cycling or exploring Ironbridge's museums, with Shrewsbury under half an hour's drive. Pitches can feel a little tired in places, but the warm welcome and spectacular setting more than compensate.
