We have just returned from our first family camping trip at Lower Hill Campsite, and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, everything was so well organised. Our electric pitch was spacious with breathtaking views across the Shropshire countryside. The sunsets were simply stunning and one of the highlights of our stay. We loved how the campsite is run on an honesty system. The little shop was fantastic, and having the wood-fired pizza oven available was such a lovely touch. It really added to the experience. We also loved that families could borrow board games, books, footballs and other outdoor games from the shop, which was such a thoughtful idea and kept the children entertained. The toilet and shower facilities were spotless throughout our stay and always clean and well looked after. Our pitch was in a brilliant location, right next to the small football goal, swings, the entrance to the woodland walks and close to the fishing ponds, which gave us plenty to explore. As a family with autistic children and additional needs, I also wanted to say how wonderful this campsite was for us. It was peaceful, calm and surrounded by nature, without loud entertainment or crowds. Our children were able to enjoy the freedom of being outdoors, exploring the woods, watching wildlife and simply being themselves. It was such a relaxing environment, and we felt completely comfortable throughout our stay. Finding places that genuinely suit families with additional needs isn’t always easy, and Lower Hill was everything we hoped it would be. Rita is absolutely lovely and was always around if we needed anything. She made us feel so welcome. The groundskeeper was also incredibly friendly, polite and always happy to stop for a chat – you can tell how much care and pride goes into looking after this beautiful campsite. The whole site is peaceful, relaxing and surrounded by nature. Even though we happened to visit during one of the hottest weekends of the year, it didn’t take away from what a wonderful campsite this is. We honestly couldn’t recommend Lower Hill Campsite enough. It’s a hidden gem, and we’ll definitely be returning. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Had a lovely stay. Really peaceful spot with amazing views over the valleys. Loads of space for pitching and a calm atmosphere all around. Perfect place to unwind. we’ll definitely be back!

Stopped off here on an overnight bike tour Lovely site with an amazing view of the nearby landscape. West facing so on a clear day you’ll enjoy a beautiful sunset. Facilities great, very clean even at the end of the evening when i turned up. i didn’t make use of it but i saw there was an ‘honesty tuck shop’

Great campsite i went first time here on my motorcycle. It was a shame i was given a spot to pitch up but everything else is great. Toilets and showers are clean and tidy and has a little convenient shop. Would recommend and will come again.
