Penrhyn Farm

What a special place. Wonderfully located on a high coastal ledge looking out across the Bay, our 2 day visit saw the most beautiful sunsets and even the Irish Coast. From the campsite we sat and watched wild dolphins. The campsite is just what I wanted: no frills, acres of space in the pitches and between them, (my favourite) grass-standing electric pitches, 5 star bathrooms and showers. Nearby New Quay a delight: bustling harbour and beach, infinite fish and chips options, quality ice cream, quality dolphin-watching tours. Tracing steps (pubs) of Dylan Thomas was enjoyable. All a short (rambler-friendly) 15 min walk from the campsite. Recommending to all my friends and looking forward to returning.

What can I say? If you want minimalistic with a view, then this is definitely the place to come!!! I say minimalistic, but everything you need is there, water, electric hookup etc. They view, WOW 👌, what could be better than waking up and looking straight out over Cardigan Bay? There's a lovely walk along the WALES COASTAL PATHWAY down into New Quay, where if you want you can hop onto a boat for £15 (for an hour) dolphin spotting. We loved it here, absolutely beautiful

Stayed here for one night in our campervan and it was lovely. The site is small and quiet with really beautiful sea views. Everything was really clean and well looked after. Best part was the easy access to the coastal path, which takes you straight into New Quay. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely setting, close to the coast path, so excellent walking. Pub 10 minute walk, really nice place to eat too. Walk to New Quay is excellent going down, not bad coming back if you are fit. Toilet block not adequate for the amount of campers, flooded floors, only used on a few occasions, didn’t use the showers, glad I had a van. Excellent pitches, really big with ehp. Campers not good at re cycling, anything went which is a shame, I feel, as a green site, there should have been more supervision on this. Would have liked to have been provided with food bags (mine had disintegrated in the van) It’s a pitch up and fend for yourself type of site, liked it that way but do like a more personal touch, which I felt was lacking. Still not received my green camping membership, although have chased this up, forgot about it tbh but plan to use more of these sites so would come in handy. Would I stay again, for the views, absolutely, never been to a site with sunrises/sunsets that spectacular, to relax and go nowhere but the pub and coastal walks, definitely. Quite expensive to take dogs, and in general, with no poo bins, so in general waste it went, also , no personal touch. Don’t be put off, I would recommend and every farm needs to diversify, and they do a very good job on the whole.
