Stoke Manor

Newark and Sherwood

Photo: Google Maps

Stoke Manor dates from 1812 and retains the character of a substantial period residence, built on grounds with deeper historical roots. The house combines original architectural detail with modern leisure facilities spread across its interior and grounds, making it a self-contained venue for larger gatherings. It sleeps up to 18 across nine bedrooms and six bathrooms, with the flexibility of two sofa beds in additional spaces.

The main reception rooms are proportioned for entertaining; there's a private cinema and cocktail bar for evening use. A heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub occupy the leisure wing, with gym equipment also available. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included. The grounds are landscaped and offer enough space to move between activities without leaving the property. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Smoking is not permitted indoors.

Newark lies within reach for supplies and exploring the wider Nottinghamshire countryside, but the house itself provides ample reason to stay put. This suits multigenerational family groups, milestone celebrations and reunions where people need room to gather, eat together, and then retreat to quieter corners. Onsite car parking is available.
