Valley End is a simple, members-only Certificated Location that delivers classic Lake District scenery in spades. Tucked into green, rural countryside dotted with trees, it offers views over distant hills and neighbouring farms complete with resident sheep and wildlife. The southern end of Windermere and the National Trust's Fell Foot park are just five minutes' drive, where you can take a dip or hire watersports equipment to make the most of the lake and fell backdrop.

Facilities are deliberately basic—waste bins and chemical disposal—so this is very much a back-to-basics pitch for those who want peace and natural beauty over creature comforts. Dog-friendly all year, it's well placed for walks along the Cumbrian Coastal Way (10 minutes) or the trails of Grizedale Forest (25 minutes). For a proper dinner out, head to Cartmel village with its hotels, racecourse, ancient priory, and famously sticky toffee pudding.

Beautiful CL a short drive from local attractions in the Lake District, beautifully kept pitches and all facilities closeby. There are 2 garage shops within a mile that are well stocked. Fantastic walks from the site for you and your dogs if you have them! We ventured up Cartmel fell to see views of Lake Windermere. Take extra care crossing the A590 to access it. Will definitely be returning this Summer ☀️
