About Newby Bridge Country Caravan Park
This peaceful site sits just minutes from Newby Bridge and the southern tip of Windermere, making it an ideal base for exploring the Lake District's quieter southern reaches. Dogs are welcome throughout, and families appreciate the straightforward facilities – clean showers and toilets, drinking water on tap, and WiFi to keep everyone connected. The emphasis here is on simple, well-kept self-catering accommodation and pitches rather than endless entertainment, which suits those wanting to get out into the fells and lakes during the day before returning to a no-fuss, friendly base. Some visitors note the site can feel a little dated in places, but the location and dog-friendly ethos more than compensate.

Excellent caravan park! We had an accessible dog friendly caravan and it was great. Fully fitted kitchen with microwave, stove and gas oven. Wet room/shower room was a good size and two decent sized twin bedrooms. The roads down the park are quite narrow but there was allocated parking outside the caravan which was a nice added extra. Wine and biscuits on arrival and the staff at the park were excellent. Absolutely will be back, thanks so much :)

I recently stayed at this caravan park and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt exceptionally clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was absolutely spot on. Every corner of the caravan was dust-free and hygienic, which was a huge relief for us. My son has a dust allergy, so I was quite anxious about the carpeted areas before we arrived. To my surprise and delight, he had no issues at all during our three-night stay. This really speaks to the high standard of upkeep maintained by the property. Kitchen: The kitchen was impressively well-equipped with everything we needed. There were plenty of cutleries, pots, and utensils, making meal preparation very convenient. The oven was spotless, and even small details like the water kettle—completely free of limescale—showed the level of care taken to keep the space clean and guest-ready. Bedroom: The bedroom had a warm, inviting ambience with beautiful lighting that made the space feel extra cozy. The beds were comfortable and perfect for winding down after a long day. It truly felt like a home away from home. Bathroom: The bathroom was immaculate—spotless from top to bottom. It was clear that it had been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. Additional Amenities: We were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful extras. The caravan offered reliable WiFi, and having two televisions—one in the bedroom and another in the living area—was a great touch for relaxation and entertainment. On top of that, we received a lovely welcome pack, which included two miniature bottles of red and white wine, along with biscuits and cookies. It was a generous and welcoming gesture that made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, our stay was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this caravan park to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-appointed getaway.
