About Barley Fields Camping
Tucked away near Holt, Barley Fields Camping delivers that increasingly rare thing: proper space. The generous pitches spread across open fields give children genuine room to roam, while fire pits dot the site for those evenings when you fancy cooking over flames or simply watching sparks drift skyward. The facilities are spotless – visitors consistently praise how well-kept the showers, toilets and washing-up areas are – and there are charging points for anyone needing to power up devices.
The peaceful atmosphere makes it an excellent base for exploring North Norfolk's coast and market towns, though it's worth noting this is a no-pets site, so leave four-legged friends at home. What visitors say
As we near the end of our holiday in North Norfolk, I thought, ‘Why not put pen to paper?’ as you used to say in the olden days and write a review about our stay at Barley Fields Camping. This review is really two fold, firstly it’s obviously about the site and secondly, the area and what there is to see and do in quite a compact area of Norfolk. Well, what can I say about the site? To be honest, we have nothing to be disappointed with! It’s a spacious site with two large fields of cut grass, loads of space for the children to let off steam. We were here over the recent late May Bank Holiday, but it never really felt busy, even though there were quite a few families in tents and camper vans. The facilities were all perfect for us as we like a good shower and these were hot and always clean, likewise the toilets and washing up areas were the same. There is plenty of information posted in the washing-up building with everything you might need to know about the area and more, metal fire pits are available to hire and you can purchase the logs (and huge pre-skewered marshmallows bags) via an honesty box. Overall, it certainly has been a perfect place for us this past week, even the weather behaved itself with temperatures in the late twenties early thirties. As I mentioned earlier, we found lots to enjoy and keep us occupied, such as a boat trip to see the seals, glass blowing, a visit to Thursford to see the steam museum, an afternoon on the beach at Holkham, the narrow gauge railway from Walsingham village (with lots to explore) to Wells and so much more. To end the holiday, it’s a meal at the Chequers pub in Binham tonight, then tomorrow it’s Parkrun at Holkham, followed by an end of the holiday breakfast brunch at the Parlour in Binham where we shall be purchasing some raw milk from the local cows! Thanks for a great week, we will definitely be back as there’s still lots to do as well as completely relax on the campsite! Regards, Jeremy and Alison.

I don't think words do you generousity of your site enough justice! You really do have a stunning space - and one that all of our staff and children immediately fell in love with. It formed the last night of our venture and it was such an amazing location to finish too. The facilities were beautiful, so well maintained and had everything we needed. But it is clear that you really do put genuine pride into that site. It was faultlessly clean across both fields and really did make the perfect spot for what we were doing.

Lovely spacious campsite in 2 fields that we have been coming back to for the last few years. Very peaceful. Good toilet and shower facilities and fire pits available. Lovely views of the sun set.
