Sandringham Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Very spacious and well appointed site. Numerous facilities blocks, all exceptionally well kept. Vast array of walks from the site and in surrounding areas. Staff are very approachable and knowledgeable. Tends to be a popular family site, so do expect noisy children. However the biggest setback is woeful Internet, which seems to dropout every other minute. Another aspect worth considering, the ground can be very dry and dusty, and is not particularly level. During summer months the dust and pollen can be tiring to some people.

We spent six nights at this site recently. It’s a lovely peaceful place and we found the warden team to be helpful and friendly. Three facility blocks on site and many pitches to choose from. Many pitches are slightly shaded but if you search around you may find a sunny spot. We had bikes with us which we enjoyed using on the quiet Norfolk lanes. It’s fairly isolated as sites go but there are many great attractions within a bike ride or a short drive. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay

Staff friendly and helpful although not frequently visible around the site once checked in, Sandingham estate is easily accessible for localised walking, plenty of dog walking routes lots of trees around site which could provide shade in warmer sunnier months, amenities of a reasonable standard although despite a well occupied site one block closed over busy Christmas period increasng ratio of users for the already minimal amount of sinks, showers and toilets in block closer to reception. This elson point did not have sufficient hygeine as hand dryer innoperable, site lighting was minimalistic so head or hand torch essential for safe navigation around site, during hours of darkness, visiting fish and chip van on one evening which was popular with several campers including us. We found one of the nearest bar/resteraunt was a 5 minute drive and another 10 minute drive towards Kings Lynn which was dog friendly and of basic pub food expectation with plenty of parking. Esso garage a few miles away which was well stocked and 24 hour, major supermarket some 8 miles from site on ourskirts of Kings Lynn. Unfortunatley no organised event or interaction at the site on New Years Eve, so very quiet and passive atmosphere on the one significant night of the year, to be fair nothing advertised so nothing expected. Kings Lynn is definatley worth a visit with plenty of parking, historic landmarks, bars and shops, the quayside looked inviting for warmer summer days.

Love the site at Sandringham. Clean and well maintained. Great staff. Lots of kids around but rarely heard them. Would definitely recommend.
