About The Lost Norfolk Brickyard

Deep in Norfolk woodland near Wells-next-the-Sea, this tiny hideaway offers just a handful of secluded pitches - each in its own clearing with a firepit for evening storytelling. The communal barn becomes the social heart of the site, complete with pizza oven, bar and charging points, while showers and composting loos earn consistent praise for their sparkling condition. Friendly hosts strike a relaxed, welcoming tone that suits the wild, peaceful surroundings perfectly.

Facilities punch above the site's intimate scale: cycle hire, games room, drying room and even ice-pack freezing for cool-box campers. Note that dogs aren't allowed, keeping the woodland haven especially tranquil for families and those seeking a proper digital detox (though WiFi is available if you need it). With the coast, farmers' markets and watersports all nearby, it's an atmospheric base for exploring north Norfolk's quieter corners.

What visitors say

Norfolk Brickyard has become a tradition for us — we’re now heading into our fourth visit — and every single stay has been outstanding. It’s one of those rare places that feels completely relaxed, beautifully natural, and genuinely welcoming from the moment you arrive. Tim runs the site with the perfect balance of friendliness and calm efficiency. Nothing is ever too much trouble, communication is always easy, and the whole place has that peaceful, laid‑back atmosphere you only get when a campsite is run by someone who truly cares. The pitches are spacious, private, and surrounded by nature. Even when the site is busy, it never feels crowded. The facilities are spotless, the setting is gorgeous, and the whole experience feels wonderfully simple — exactly what camping should be. Every visit has given us great memories, and it’s the one campsite we always look forward to returning to. If you want somewhere with character, charm, and a genuinely warm host, Norfolk Brickyard is unbeatable. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay here. We had a nice private pitch, we felt like we were the only ones there. Forest to explore right next to us, the kids absolutely loved it. We enjoyed our own firepit. We had a bit of rain but that didn't stopped us from having a bbq 🤩. We only stayed for 1 night, but next time we will definitely stay for more as there is so much to do around. 😊

We’re just heading back for our fourth visit to The Norfolk Brickyard. By far our favourite campsite in Norfolk. Tim has the perfect balance between seclusion, nature and just the right amount of amenities. The pitches are massive giving plenty of space, and none of them are overlooked for a true wild feeling. But there are also “wild” hot showers, washing up stations and the barn for rainy days! We hope to be coming back here for many years to come!

We had a wonderful weekend at Norfolk brickyard. Each pitch gives its guests their own privacy while there are still opportunities for socialisation at the communal barn. The pizza oven made dinner an easy affair. The beach is a quick give minute drive away as well. Highly recommended.
