About Congham Hall Hotel & Spa
Congham Hall is a Georgian manor house a few miles east of King's Lynn, standing in roughly 50 acres of parkland, orchard and gardens. It is privately owned and run, and has built its reputation on a walled herb garden of several hundred varieties which supplies the kitchen. The setting is genuinely rural, but the hotel is only a short drive from King's Lynn station and the Sandringham Estate, which makes it an easy base for west Norfolk without a long journey from the main roads.
Accommodation runs to 31 individually decorated bedrooms and suites. Rooms in the main house have the higher ceilings and garden outlooks, while the garden rooms in a separate wing are more contemporary, with terraces or balconies opening onto the lawns and easier access for anyone who would rather avoid stairs. Larger suites add sitting areas and roll-top or freestanding baths. Dogs are accepted in a number of the ground-floor rooms.
The spa is the main facility, with a heated indoor pool, thermal suite, treatment rooms and a gym, and non-residents can book day packages. Dining is in the restaurant overlooking the gardens, with a menu that leans on Norfolk meat, fish landed on the north coast and produce from the kitchen garden; afternoon tea and light lunches are served on the terrace in summer. Croquet, tennis and walking routes through the grounds fill the gaps.
Congham Hall works well for couples wanting a spa break, for small family gatherings and for weddings, which it hosts regularly. It is also a practical stop for visitors to Sandringham, Houghton Hall and the Peddars Way. Guests who want nightlife or a beachfront position should look at the coast instead, since evenings here are quiet and the nearest sands at Snettisham and Hunstanton are a short drive.

What guests say
We stayed for two nights to visit the RHS show at Sandringham. We really enjoyed our time here. The hotel was comfortable and welcoming and all the staff without exception were friendly, polite and helpful. Dinner on both nights was excellent and the afternoon tea and scones truly delicious. The spa was a lovely way to relax after walking around the show all day. We would be more than happy to make a return visit.

I have spent 4 nights at this hotel with my dog and I can’t fault the warm welcome for both myself and my dog. The bedrooms where dogs are allowed are just lovely, large airy with doors opening to a terrace and the gardens. Dogs are allowed in certain areas in the house which are very comfortable and can be used for dining as well. I invited my daughter and family to Sunday lunch and we all agreed that it was excellent. I had a cream tea which was equally delicious. The spa offers excellent treatments and I had two to rejuvenate my skin. The indoor pool is lovely with a jacuzzi on the outdoor terrace. All in all it is a beautiful country house hotel with a warm welcome and homely atmosphere. Well recommended!

Wow! Congham Hall is such a lovely hotel with fantastic attention to detail (loved the colourful artwork!). If we’d known how much we were going to enjoy our visit we would have stayed longer. The food at the Samphire Kitchen was excellent. We had three courses and enjoyed them all but particularly loved the miniature loaves of bread, so cute! We stayed in an Orchard Cabin, which was perfect and so peaceful. There was even a patio heater so you could relax with views of the orchard regardless of the Norfolk weather. Check out the bath tub view! The Secret Garden Spa was small but relaxing, with an indoor pool, thermal suite and an outdoor hot tub. We even had some sunshine to relax on the loungers and enjoy it in. Finally, a special thank you to all the staff who genuinely couldn’t do enough to help. Overall, a calm, luxurious and thoroughly relaxing break that we would happily recommend.

What a fantastic place. Had a spa package here. From when we walked in the staff were so friendly and happy. Made us feel very looked after all day. The spa is lovely, the full body massage was amazing and the afternoon tea was delicious and the staff also very friendly in the restaurant too. Would 100% be coming back. Such a lovely place to spend an afternoon.
