South Steading

South Steading works well for families wanting space to spread out, or two couples sharing comfortably. The whole property is yours alone on a small farm just outside West Kilbride, with countryside views and the coast nearby. Everything sits on one level: a generous open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a woodburner, plus three bedrooms (a king with ensuite, a double, and two singles) and a family bathroom with bath and shower.

The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi are included; logs for the burner are provided too. Outside, an enclosed garden has a log-fired hot tub that holds six and runs on wood only, keeping the water hotter than electric alternatives. There's a bike store, parking for three cars, and a travel cot and highchair if you need them. One dog stays free.

West Kilbride itself, five minutes' drive away, is Scotland's first accredited Craft Town and has village shops and amenities. The property doesn't allow smoking inside.
