Barnstaple sits at the gateway to North Devon's coastline, with beaches and coastal walks within easy reach. Cedars is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom duplex sleeping six, set within the Cedars Inn grounds where landscaped gardens and on-site parking mean you can settle in without fuss. One dog stays free, and the whole property is yours alone.

The open-plan ground floor has a living room, dining area and kitchen equipped for cooking proper meals—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and the rest. A double bedroom with ensuite and separate toilet complete the lower level. Upstairs, two kingsize bedrooms each have their own ensuite. Bed linen, towels, heating and wi-fi are all covered. A shared back garden with seating looks onto the landscaped grounds; you have your own space to step outside.

The location suits families or groups wanting a base for exploring the Devon coast—Exmoor is nearby, and the beaches of Mortehoe and Woolacombe are short drives away. Those who prefer to stay put will find the restaurant and bar on site.

I booked a table here for 8 people for my husbands birthday. The table was ready when we arrived and drinks were ordered swiftly. All of the service was brilliant! They even put a candle in my husbands ice cream and sang happy birthday! Full table service, no issues, food was hot and very tasty. We wish this was our local but unfortunately we were on holiday at the time with family. If we were local we would definitely return! Thanks to all of the staff for making it a memorable evening and for taking photos.

Fast service. Absolutely gorgeous food. We came here to use the RAW chargers which worked well and also had a top of up of grub too before heading back on the road. Service was incredibly fast and good and staff were very friendly.

Such a comfortable and relaxed stay. Every staff member was super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are basic but very clean with a massive super king bed and equipped with tea making, TV and iron. Food was tasty with good selection and delivered with a smile. A huge car park and plenty of outside seating made The Ceders a really good choice.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Had an evening meal on our first night, Gammon, egg chips, did have to wait 40mins for it. It was very nice. It was a nice evening so busy with people outside. They had a nice GF selection which hubby was happy with & continental breakfast was lovely, hot breakfast looked nice tho we never had it. Staff very helpful re the GF. Restaurant did seem under manned which is a bind for hospitality establishments nowadays. Would stay again if ever in the area.
