Spring Cottage

North Devon's quieter corners suit those who want the coast within reach but prefer a slower pace. Spring Cottage sits on the edge of Kentisbury, a village setting that puts you minutes from Combe Martin's beaches and rock pools, yet far enough inland to feel properly rural. The cottage is single-storey, purpose-built as a self-contained property next to the owner's home, with its own parking and garden.

Inside, everything is on one level: two bedrooms with en-suite showers and smart TVs, plus an open-plan living space that combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The kitchen handles full cooking—oven, dishwasher, microwave and all basics included. Bed linen, towels and wifi come as standard; heating is electric throughout. Outside, an enclosed lawn has decking, garden furniture and a private hot tub (available by arrangement). One dog stays free.

This works equally well for a weekend or a week. Combe Martin itself has shops and pubs; Croyde and Woolacombe beaches are a short drive for surfing or swimming. Exmoor, with its walks and viewpoints, is close by, as are the Lynton cliff railway, various gardens and a wildlife park. The beach is roughly 3 miles away. No smoking inside.
