Combe Martin sits on the edge of Exmoor, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where moorland meets the North Devon coast. Strawberry Cottage occupies an elevated spot within the village, looking out over the surrounding landscape. Two miles down towards the sea, Combe Martin's own beach is known for sunsets, while further along you'll find Woolacombe's award-winning sands, Croyde's surf breaks, and countless hidden coves to explore. The South West Coast Path runs through the area, and inland walks cross open moorland.
The cottage is a small detached property with one double bedroom upstairs. Downstairs, an open-plan living and dining space opens to a kitchen where you can cook proper meals. A shower room with underfloor heating completes the layout. The living area has a woodburner (initial fuel included), a Smart TV, and garden furniture sits on the rear patio facing open countryside—a genuinely private spot. Bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are all included. Parking is on site. No smoking inside the property.
The village itself has local shops and restaurants. Ilfracombe, a proper working harbour town with ice cream shops and craft traders, lies nearby; it's also the departure point for trips to Lundy Island and boat-based wildlife spotting. This works as a straightforward base for a couple wanting to walk, explore beaches, or simply sit with a view.
