Woolacombe Beach is a three-mile stretch of sand backed by a village of cafés, ice cream shops and pubs. This first-floor apartment sits just 150 metres from the shoreline, close enough for a morning swim or evening walk along the South West Coast Path. The building has private parking and a shared garden with furniture and barbecue.

Inside are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master has a king bed and en-suite shower; the second has a king bed and a pair of bunk beds, making six people the comfortable limit. The open-plan living and dining area gets natural light, and the kitchen has a full set of appliances including dishwasher and washer-dryer, so you can cook properly and manage laundry over a week. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with wi-fi and heating. One dog stays free of charge.

The beach suits families with young children—the sand shelves gently and lifeguards patrol in summer—as well as surfers and anyone wanting to walk the coast. If you're planning to stay in and cook, the village is close enough to pop out for supplies or dinner without much fuss.
