Beach Retreat

Larger families and groups will find Beach Retreat works well for a proper seaside stay. The house sleeps eight across three bedrooms—two doubles and a third with a double plus a pull-out single—with two bathrooms to share. The ground floor holds the kitchen, a conservatory, and a shower room; upstairs there's a living room with a TV and DVD player, and the remaining bedrooms. You get parking for up to three cars and the whole place to yourselves.

The kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals rather than holiday shortcuts: there's an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and all the basics. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. A patio with garden furniture and a barbecue opens from the ground floor, though note there are three steps down to it and a small unfenced stream runs along the garden boundary. The garden gate leads straight onto the beach.

Mundesley village is within walking distance, with shops and a pub around 100 yards away. Cromer's pier and seafood are eight miles north. The Norfolk Broads, bird reserves, Cromer's steam railway and BeWILDerwood adventure park are all within reach. No smoking indoors. One pet is welcome.
