Chere Amie

Families and couples wanting something different will find Chere Amie distinctive: a restored 1970s Westerly Pageant moored on a wooded site near Briston Common. The boat sleeps four across three bedrooms—a double, a three-quarter double, and bunk beds—making it workable for families with younger children or two couples. An air source heat pump keeps it comfortable year-round. One bathroom with shower serves the boat; there is also a shared external wet room on the property. A separate dayroom on the jetty gives a sitting area away from the sleeping quarters, with a woodburner and views into the trees.

The boat's open-plan galley has an electric cooker, induction hob and microwave for cooking proper meals. Bed linen and towels are provided. A heated swimming pool on site (shared with the owner) is the obvious draw for children; the woodland setting brings regular sightings of bats, owls, deer and foxes. One dog is welcome, though agility matters on a boat this size. Note that the jetty sits five feet above ground. Parking is on site. No smoking is permitted. The nearest beaches at Holkham and Sheringham are within reach for a day out.
