White House Farm Holiday Cottages - The Granary

North Norfolk

Dereham sits in the heart of Norfolk's countryside, within reach of both the Broads and the coast. The Granary is a standalone cottage on the owner's working farm, set back from the main road with its own parking and a fenced courtyard garden—useful for dogs and children, both of which are welcome here. One pet stays free.

Inside are three bedrooms (one double, two single beds) and a bathroom with bath and shower. The ground floor is open-plan, with a wood-burning stove, a kitchen fitted with electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine, and a separate toilet. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered. The enclosed sitting area has a barbecue and garden furniture.

Mundesley's sandy beach is two miles away; Cromer pier and the Norfolk Broads lie within fifteen minutes' drive. The village of Trunch, a mile off, has a church, shop with post office and a pub serving food. Walking, cycling and dog walking start from the cottage—the surrounding lanes are quiet and the area is built for that kind of break. No smoking inside.

Perfect base for exploring North Norfolk and all its wildlife and villages. The area is buzzing with birds of all varieties and the seaside is half an hour drive away with a variety of options. The hosts, Mary and Tim are fully attentive and nothing is too much trouble. For local information you will be overwhelmed with ideas. Note that mobile signal is not available but we found that a blessing in disguise as the MO of this place is a peaceful holiday. Fabulous breakfast!

Absolutely beautiful building, rooms and delightful hosts. The rooms are pristine and very tastefully decorated. Breakfast was delicious and Mary and Tim were the most perfect hosts. We truly hope to return there again in the near future.

We were welcomed with home made cake and tea. Perfect start. Mary was a delight and put us at our ease immediately. The room was lovely but not in the usual way! Lots of books and quirky things. Brilliant. Beamed ceiling. On occasions evening meals are possible, but not tonight so we were directed to a lovely place with superb fish dishes. 10 minutes drive away. Room was lovely and quiet, so we slept well. The breakfast was simply brilliant, you order the night before and say what time you want it for and its waiting for you. Fruit salad, fruit juice, full English, toast and coffee. Cooked to perfection. We didn't need lunch. If we are traveling that way again I think you know where we will be staying. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place, Mary just a great host. Breakfast really good also the evening meal. Our second visit this year and returning in August. The garden is a credit to her. Lovely and quiet. Highly recommend White House Farm!
