Skipton's high street puts you within easy reach of independent shops, cafes and the riverside walks beyond, yet Autumn Rose Cottage sits back from the bustle in its own wrap-around patio space. The whole property is yours alone—a single-storey layout with two king-size bedrooms, a shower room, and a living area centred on a wood burner.
Everything on the ground floor makes movement easy. The kitchen has what you need to cook properly: oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. Two leather sofas in the living room face the fire, and the second bedroom can serve as a quiet retreat or extra living space. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included; initial logs for the burner are provided too. There's private parking for two cars and a patio with seating at front and back.
If you're bringing a dog, it stays free. You'll find a warm outdoor shower for them, plus towels, bowls, treats and spare leads—useful if you've forgotten yours. The cottage takes no more than four guests and operates on a no-smoking basis. Check-in is after 15:30 and checkout before 10:00.

Second stay here for us and our dog. Had a 4 nights at the end of January (2025). We just love this place and will return again when we can. Just a brilliant brilliant place and weather was superb too. Nice to get the train for one stop to Gargrave and do the flat canal walk back to Skipton (5.5 miles). Local coffee shop Bean Loved is superb and breakfast/brunch are excellent, very tasty.

The owners of this beautiful cottage were doing a charity fundraiser last Xmas for a fantastic dog rescue team. I was the lucky winner of the 3 night stay! It was a perfect place to relax. The owners had thought of everything and the welcome pack was lovely. Recommended to everyone who wants peace and quiet but close to all amenities.

We have just returned from a 3 day stay at Autumn Rose cottage. The cottage is beautifully furnished with quality products and excellent attention to detail. It was spotlessly clean and smelt lovely and homely as soon as we stepped through the front door. A fabulous log burner is the focal point in the very comfortable lounge which was so cosey, and the addition of Christmas decorations throughout the cottage was wonderful. The king size bed was lovely and comfortable with quality bedding. The cottage is very dog friendly, with outside dog shower and high stone walls there was no chance of our dog getting out. Even though you were literally a 2 minute walk to the main street you were extremly private with no noise what so ever.... Perfect location. This is one of the best cottages that we have stayed in, and suited us perfectly. Highly recommended.
