Skipton is a market town where the Dales start to rise, with independent shops, regular street markets, and several pubs within easy reach. The Devonshire Inn sits less than a mile away. Dales Retreat is positioned right in the middle of things—close enough to grab breakfast or dinner without driving, but still a proper base for exploring the surrounding countryside, woodlands and stone villages.
The cottage spreads across two floors and sleeps six: three bedrooms (a king, a double, and bunk beds), one bathroom with shower, plus a separate downstairs toilet. Downstairs is open-plan living and kitchen space with doors onto a patio and garden, a wood-fired stove, and a dining table. Upstairs, all three bedrooms have storage. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge; a washing machine is tucked away in the utility room. Wifi, heating, bed linen and towels are covered. There's a welcome pack on arrival.
This suits groups of friends or a larger family wanting to be in town rather than isolated—you can walk to a pub for dinner, or cook in and use the patio when weather allows. No smoking inside.
