Skipton's position at the Yorkshire Dales' threshold makes it an ideal base for exploring both upland villages and the market town itself. Blue Buttons sits on a private drive just outside, close enough to walk into the centre with its Norman castle and independent shops, yet far enough to feel removed from the bustle. The cottage is one of four properties here, each accessed separately with its own parking space.
Inside, the single bedroom holds a super kingsize bed and its own television. Upstairs, a living room with a woodburner and 43-inch smart TV provides a focal point for evenings, while the kitchen on the ground floor is fully equipped for cooking—electric range, dishwasher, American fridge, microwave and all. The ensuite bathroom is the true draw: a jacuzzi bath positioned alongside a walk-in shower with rainfall head means indulgent soaking without leaving the room. A separate ground-floor toilet and bi-fold doors opening to a patio with garden furniture complete the setup. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; a welcome pack of local produce and wine adds a finishing touch.
For days out, Riddlesden Hall (National Trust) lies 10 miles away, while Kettlewell, Grassington and Malham showcase quintessential Dales character. The Forest of Bowland's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is within reach, and Skipton railway station connects to Leeds and beyond. A pub and shop sit half a mile down the road. No smoking throughout.
