Long Preston sits on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, surrounded by countryside that draws walkers and cyclists year-round. The village itself has a post office, stores, a church, and two pubs serving food, all within easy reach on foot. Bridge End occupies a quiet spot on the outskirts, set back from the road with the river running alongside—you'll hear the water rather than traffic from here.
The cottage is stone-built and split across three floors. Ground level holds a living room with a woodburner and large television, and a kitchen/dining room equipped for proper cooking, with a second woodburner if you want to gather there. Upstairs are two kingsize bedrooms (one with television, one on the top floor with a vaulted ceiling and Velux window for quieter sleep), plus a bedroom with bunk beds and a single bathroom with bath and shower. The property sleeps 6 and is yours alone. An enclosed patio at the rear has garden furniture and is a genuine suntrap for coffee or evening drinks.
Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included; initial logs for the woodburners are provided. There is bike storage on site. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The immediate access to Dales walks and the popularity of the area for the Three Peaks Challenge mean this works well as a base for outdoor holidays, though the village itself is quiet enough for a slower break. No smoking inside the property.
