Pickering sits at the edge of the North York Moors, a historic market town with independent shops, cafés and restaurants within easy walking distance. The town is also home to the North York Moors Railway, which runs steam trains to Whitby. Eden House Holiday Cottage is a Grade II listed property that has been fully refurbished, offering a private base for two people exploring the area on foot or by bike.
The cottage is arranged over two floors. Downstairs, a living room with woodburner opens into a dining room and sun room with French doors onto an enclosed patio and garden. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs, a single kingsize bedroom with vaulted ceiling has an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. Bed linen, towels, WiFi and electricity are included; initial logs for the woodburner are provided from October to April. There is parking for one car on site and a bike store available on request.
The Moors offer walking and cycling in all directions—Dalby Forest, the largest in the area, is nearby with trails ranging from gentle to challenging. The cottage does not accept children except babies in arms, and smoking is not permitted.

We had a great stay at this beautiful cottage, it is well equipped, very cosy and perfect for visiting the local area. Andy and Emma were very helpful in advising us on local walking and cycling routes, particularly useful for us especially in and around Dalby forest. The fantastic welcome pack was much appreciated especially the homemade jam and cakes. Great hosts, great cottage, great location, we will see you again in the Spring.

Emma and Andy are great hosts. The cottage is perfect, well equipped with everything you need. There are so many walk books in the cottage and suggestions from Emma and Andy. There is offroad parking. It has a little patio area where you can relax. It is ideally located for exploring the area and doing some great walks.

Andy and Emma are extremely obliging and friendly hosts. The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped, and the dining area looks out onto the beautiful garden. Excellent location for all the town's facilities.

We had a lovely short break at Eden House holiday cottage. The cottage is cosy and well-appointed with high-quality furnishings, a well-equipped kitchen and a log burner that made for some cosy evenings in. The lovely garden would be a great place to sit out in warmer weather, and the location of the cottage is perfect for visiting Pickering town centre or taking a walk from the door. There are lots of walking books and maps available for anyone wanting to explore the area.
