The property has grown over centuries, so the ground floor has uneven levels and steps connecting the living spaces—a quirk worth knowing about if mobility is a concern. Downstairs, the main living room has a woodburner and smart TV, the kitchen is equipped for cooking from scratch, and there's a separate dining room for larger meals.

An enclosed garden with decking, seating and a barbecue opens onto a small orchard where guests can pick fruit in season. There's also a pub within a mile. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with initial logs for the woodburner. One well-behaved pet stays free. Note that there is an unfenced pond within the garden. Cots and highchairs are available for younger children, and on-road parking is provided. No smoking throughout the property.
