Ferndene Cottage is a traditional stone cottage in the village of Hinderwell, within reach of Runswick Bay and the North York Moors. The building spreads across three floors: ground level holds the living room and kitchen/dining space, with a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor, and another bedroom upstairs. A third bedroom sits on the second floor. In total, there are three bedrooms sleeping six, two bathrooms, and enough space for a family or group to have their own areas without feeling cramped.
The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and microwave for cooking from scratch or heating ready meals. The living room contains a 32-inch smart TV and DVD player. Essentials including bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are provided. An enclosed garden to the rear, accessed across a lane, has lawn space, garden furniture and a summerhouse with views toward pastureland and sea. One car can be parked in the allocated space, with unloading at the cottage door. One dog stays free; two village pubs within walking distance are also dog-friendly. No smoking indoors. Staithes, Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Whitby are short drives away, or the village sits on a direct bus route to Whitby if you'd rather leave the car behind.
