Four Seasons
North Yorkshire
Four Seasons is a traditional stone cottage in the market town of Pickering, retaining period character—exposed beams, a working multi-fuel burner—while fitted with everything needed for modern family life. The property has three bedrooms spread across two floors: a kingsize and two singles on the first floor, and another kingsize with its own shower room on the second. Two bathrooms serve the household, and there is parking for one car on site.
The ground floor holds a living and dining space centred around the burner, a well-equipped kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, and a separate toilet. Essentials including bed linen, towels, heating and Wi-Fi are covered; the owners have also left travel cots, highchairs, booster seats and children's cutlery for families with young children. The enclosed garden courtyard has seating and furniture for outdoor time. One well-behaved pet stays free of charge.
Pickering itself is busy with independent shops, a street market, pubs and cafés, plus the medieval castle, a Saxon church with 15th-century wall paintings and Beck Isle Museum. The heritage steam railway runs from the town through the surrounding countryside towards Whitby. The North York Moors offer extensive walking and cycling routes nearby. The property does not permit smoking.
