This stone cottage dates back several centuries and retains the character of its age while offering modern comforts throughout. The building sits a short distance from the Wheatsheaf Hotel and comes as a complete, private property—your own base rather than part of a larger complex. Five steps lead to the entrance, where you step directly into an open-plan ground floor that combines living, kitchen and dining in one flowing space. An electric woodburner nestles into a brick fireplace in the main room, and there's a smart TV for quieter evenings. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave and washing machine, so you can cook properly or keep things simple. A door from the kitchen opens onto the back garden, which faces south and includes a sitting area with furniture.

Two double bedrooms occupy the first floor—one overlooks the front of the cottage, the other the garden—with a bathroom containing a bath, shower and heated towel rail between them. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. The enclosed garden is fenced, and there's space for two cars on the drive plus a secure bike store if you're planning to explore the surrounding countryside. One small dog can stay free of charge. The cottage does not permit smoking.
