Walk through the front door of Hallgarth House and you enter a pair of interconnected living spaces, each with its own fireplace—one fitted with a wood burner, the other a traditional grate. The layout spreads across three floors of a listed building that dates back over two centuries. On the ground floor, the dining room flows into a kitchen equipped with an Aga, gas hob, and electric oven; a utility room handles laundry. The first floor holds three bedrooms and a bathroom with a roll-top bath. A second floor adds two more bedrooms. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating fuel are included; the essentials for a large group are covered.
Hallgarth House sleeps ten across five bedrooms: a kingsize with an ensuite, two pairs of single rooms, and a double. Two full bathrooms serve the property. Outside, an enclosed garden with lawn furniture and a barbecue provides private outdoor space. Pickering's market square, with its castle, shops, restaurants and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, lies a five-minute walk away. A pub sits 150 yards down the road. The coast at Whitby, Scarborough and Filey are within reach for a day trip, while cycling routes and bridle paths crisscross the surrounding countryside. No smoking inside.
